Cool weather, so I can bake – cookies especially with the grandson – During our hot summers months, I stay out of the kitchen as much as possible. This year, I am going to learn to bake bread.

My favorite animal is the sea turtle. My daughters and I visit the turtle hospital everytime we are in FL and always catch the videos of the turtles when they are released back in the ocean.

For my daughter’s first birthday, my family bought us a membership to the zoo, so I have actually gone a lot this summer. My favorite animals are actually large aquatic mammals like whales and dolphins. There aren’t any of those at our zoo. I have enjoyed seeing the ok through the eyes of my children though (currently 16 months and just under 3). Yesterday my older child told me that his favorites at th zoo are the ows, pigs, penguins, and sea anemones.

The Brown Anole! They’re tiny little lizards that live in Florida. I’m always fascinated when I watch them. They’re social and fierce but, shy at the same time! Honorable mentions? The Walrus, Giraffe and Possums. I love how Walruses and Giraffe’s look but, I always laugh when I think about Possums because of an incident with one of my little brothers! =)
