Now, here’s how we made this simple Knock ‘Em Down Carnival Game.

Save 6-10 clear plastic bottles of your liking. Look for clear bottles with wide, flat caps. Peal off the plastic labels.

Fill the bottles with water and add a drop of food coloring to each. It would also be really pretty to use natural food coloring,

If one of your colors is too intense, dump out part of the colored water and refill with water.

Now for some cute hexagon bean bags!

Carnival Game

Use a hexagon template to cut your felt. This makes cutting hexagons of any size simple to cut. You can also make a template from cardboard!

The fastest way to stitch your beanbags is by machine but I couldn’t resist a little bedtime hand-stitching. Just make sure your stitches are small enough to hold in the beans. Once you have just 2 sides left open , fill the bag with beans and finish by sewing up.

Sew through just one layer of the felt when starting and ending so the thread ends are tucked neatly inside.

Line them up and let the party begin!

Some of our favorite bloggers were also on task. Dana from Made created a clever Tin Can Caddy, Petit Elefant designed a fun DIY T-shirt Necklace tutorial and Make and Takes came up with a sweet Washi Tape Vase that makes me eager to pull out some of my washi stash I keep buying. Head on over and show them some love.

Oh, right, favorite craft supply: right now it’s washi tape because it seems like the ultimate craft item. Thing is I don’t have much, I don’t have much time for that matter either… 😉

Cute beanbags. I’m thinking maybe this could be a fun way to teach all those odd shapes(like the hexagon).
As for my favorite craft supply right now, I’d have to say hot glue. My 3 year old loves to use it as it dries so quickly, and it can be used for so many things, it’s awesome!
