5 Kid Foodie Classes to Recreate at Home

IMG_8654The Generations Resort on Mexico’s Riviera Maya lives up to Karisma’s spectacular culinary reputation. As their guests, Clare, Quinn and I ate fabulous all-inclusive meals basically non-stop but the foodie wonderland didn’t stop there. Generations’ already phenomenal kids club, Eko Kids, just launched a new program, Little Eko Chefs,  where children 4-12 will be treated to hands-on cooking classes designed just for the littles, and celebrating the tastes and traditions both of this region of Mexico and all over the world. grinding cornWe had the opportunity to try all of the lessons, joined by Master Chef Jr, Alexander Weiss, and had such a blast that I want to share how you can recreate these foodies classes right at home. Of course, if you ever have the chance for the kids to try them on the Mayan Riviera, while you relax by your private balcony’s lap pool, that would work too.

Fabric Friday

Fabric Friday on Pretty Prudent

In keeping with the theme of Flower Friday, we are giving away one yard of Teagan White for Birch Organic Fabrics, Acorn Trail, VOILE, Peonies Blue. How gorgeous is this fabric?! We don’t give away a voile fabric too often, so this is definitely a special treat. I’m feeling inspired to use this fabric to recreate our Smocked Dress with Pom Poms, Sweet Shirred Dress, and our Snappy Toddler Top.

Enter for the chance to win one yard of Teagan White for Birch Organic Fabrics, Acorn Trail, VOILE, Peonies Blue, and find out who won last week’s Fabric Friday after the jump…

Flower Friday: Teacup Flower Garnishes

Teacup Flower Garnishes (1 of 1)
For Flower Friday this week I wanted to share one of my favorite garnish ideas – teacup flowers. I drink a ridiculous amount of tea, and this is a way to make each cup a little extra special. Use teacup flower garnishes for a tea party, or when you are serving a cup of tea with dessert.

We’ve also used teacups to make pretty Teacup Candles and vases.
